Overview
“Manage My Databases” in cPanel gives you the option to manage databases and database users in your hosting account.
This feature has several advantages. You can:
Create new MySQL and MariaDB databases
Manage existing databases
Manage database users
Get an overview of databases related to your hosting account
When you finish this guide, you will know how to create a database and where you manage databases and database users in cPanel.
Important information
We recommend that you use Database Wizard if you are going to create your first database and database user. Database Wizard guides you through the entire process and automatically connects the user to the database.
⚠️ Important: Do not use phpMyAdmin to create databases or database users. This can cause a backup and recovery of databases to not work as expected.
To edit content in databases, run SQL queries, or import and export databases, you can use phpMyAdmin.
