Overview
The File Manager allows you to upload files to your website without using FTP. You can upload individual files directly, but whole folders must first be created in the File Manager.
Important information
⚠️ You can't upload folders directly. First, create the folder in the File Manager, and then upload the files.
⚠️ Make sure the new files do not overwrite important existing files unless you are sure.
Step 1: Log in to cPanel
If your hosting service supports cPanel, you can log in directly from the landing page in the client area.
This is how you do it:
Find your hosting service under the list of active products/services
Click on the button "Log in to cPanel"
You are now automatically logged into cPanel without having to enter your username or password again
Step 2: Open the File Manager
Go to the Files section and click on File Manager.
Step 3: Navigate to the desired folder
Use the folder structure in the left column to find the folder you want to upload the files to:
File management will display the folder's content:
Step 4: Upload Files
Click on Upload in the toolbar:
Drag the files from your computer into the upload window or click on Select File and select the files you want to upload:
When the upload is complete, click on Go Back to "[directory path]" to get back to the folder you uploaded the file in:
Summary
You have now uploaded files to your website via the File Manager. Repeat the process for all files you want to add.
