Overview
If you have a ZIP file on the server, you can use File Manager to unpack it and access all the files inside the archive.
Important information
⚠️ ZIP format must be available on the server for this feature to work.
⚠️ The files are packaged in the folder you choose. If the files have the same name as existing files, they can overwrite them.
Step 1: Log in to cPanel
If your hosting service supports cPanel, you can log in directly from the landing page in the client area.
This is how you do it:
Find your hosting service under the list of active products/services
Click on the button "Log in to cPanel"
You are now automatically logged into cPanel without having to enter your username or password again
Step 2: Open File Manager
Find the Files section and click on File Manager
Step 3: Find the ZIP File
Navigate to the folder where the ZIP file is located.
Step 4: Unpack the files
Select the ZIP file.
Click on Extract in the toolbar.
3. Select the target folder for the unpacking.
4. Click on Extract Files
The files are then unpacked and the Extraction Results show the result:
Click on Close and you will now see that the files are in the folder you chose to unpack them in:
The ZIP file is now unpacked, and the contents are available in the selected folder. Repeat the process for other ZIP files as needed.
