Overview
Email forwarding lets you receive email sent to one address at a different email account.
Examples:
This can be useful when you:
Want to consolidate email into one address
Use an external email provider
Want to receive email at multiple addresses simultaneously
Want to create a simple contact address without its own inbox
When you have completed this guide, you will know how to create and manage email forwarding in the customer area.
Important information
⚠️ A forwarding rule does not normally store email in its own inbox. The message is forwarded to the specified recipient immediately after it is received.
⚠️ If the recipient address is incorrect or unavailable, email delivery may fail. Always make sure the forwarding address is correct.
Prerequisites
Before you begin, make sure you:
Have access to the customer area
Are logged in to the customer area
Have an active web hosting plan with email services
Have a domain linked to the hosting account
Step 1: Open the hosting service
In the services overview, click View details on the Email Hosting entry.
You will now be taken to the administration page for your web hosting.
Step 2: Open email forwarding
Click Manage Mail Forwarders.
The system opens the overview of existing forwarding rules.
Step 3: Create a new forwarding rule
Find the Add new section
Enter the email address that should receive and forward the email
Enter the destination address for the forwarding rule
Click Add Mail Forwarder
The system will create the forwarding rule, which will appear under Existing Mail Forwarders:
Step 4: Test the forwarding rule
To check that the forwarding rule is working:
5. Send a test message to the new email address
6. Check that the message is received at the destination address
💡 Tip: It may take a few minutes before new forwarding rules are active across all servers.
Adding additional recipients
If you want to add additional recipients to the forwarding:
Click the arrow on the forwarding rule:
7. Enter the email address of the new recipient
8. Click Add Additional Target
The system will set up the forwarding rule, and it will appear under Existing Mail Forwarders:
Deleting a forwarding rule
If you no longer need the forwarding rule:
9. Find the forwarding rule you want to delete in the overview
10. Click the red trash icon
Confirm the deletion:
The forwarding rule is removed immediately:
Troubleshooting
Email is not being forwarded
Check that:
The forwarding rule has been created correctly
The destination address has been entered correctly
The domain is using the correct email settings
I am not receiving the test message
Check:
Your spam folder
That the recipient account is still active
That the email was actually delivered to the forwarding address
I want both forwarding and my own inbox
Create the email account first, and then set up the forwarding rule.
